Acura TSX features a new 2.4-liter DOHC i-VTEC inline-4 engine producing 205 horsepower. The engine combines high performance with light weight. You can feel the low inertia and lively response of engine with Drive-by-Wire Throttle System inspired at every flex.

Supreme importance to its power techology is its advanced i-VTEC engine technology. This technology increses the high rpm horsepower as well as low rpm torque. Also a Programmed Fuel Injection and a high-flow exaust system ensure accurate and efficient fuel use.

The diameter of intake duct and thrttle body were enlarged on the intake side of TSX to increse induction flow rate. Also the shape and diameter of intake valve was improved to increase intake flow by 16 percent. For intake cam the high cam profile was modified to provide increased intake valve duration and lift.

To reduce pumping friction a ventilation passage was machined into the engine block by increasing air flow between cylinders. All aluminum engine's light weight improves front to rear weight distribution. The fuel efficiency of the engine is combined with the low vibration expected of a luxury-brand vehicle.
