The Acura TL model consists of two types of engines. Each type of engine is efficient, refined and technologically advanced V-6 engine. These engines produces power as per their size. The Acura TL has 3.2 liter V-6 engine which produces 258 horsepower and 233 lbs-ft of peak torque.

It earns an Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV) rating and delivers efficient 20/29 EPA mileage by providing a highly robust performance. The new Acura TL having Type-S engine is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 keeping its high performance badge.

It's increased displacement and improved intake and exhaust flow produces an astonishing 286 horsepower and torque of 256lb ft. Type-S engine produces an EPA city/ Hwy rating of 19/28 with its additional power and conserves a ULEV emission certification.

The Acura TL model uses some advanced technologies such as a 2-stsge intake manifold, VTEC, and a Drive-by Wire Throttle System and for the purpose of reducing weight it uses an array of lightweight materials.
