Acura RDX Introduction
Acura's first compact luxury crossover SUV is Acura RDX. Originally Acura RDX was previewed as concept car. The RDX had its first debut in 2006 at New York's Auto Show and came in market for sale on 11th August 2006.
As MDX continuosally grows in price and size RDX takes over from MDX as acuras entry-level SUV. The competitors for Acura RDX are BMW X3, Land Lover Freelander and Lincoln MKX. Other slightly larger crossover competitors are Lexus RX, Volvo XC90 ans some luxury vehicles include Subaru B9 Tribeca and Mazda CX-7.
The RDX is assembled in Marysville, Ohio. The dimensions of Acura RDX are very much similar to the Honda CR-V, since Acura claims that it uses a unique platform which handles the vehicle's advanced all-wheel drive system.
