You can get NSX with 4-speed formula one type automatic transmission or 5-speed manual transmission. In the 4 speed automatic system there are four settings 4, 3/M, 2, 1. In 4. With automatic transmission chosen car behaves like any other it can choose any best gear from 1 through 4.

The NSX's 3.0 liter V6 engine sent its power to the rear wheels through five speed manual transmission producing 270 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. Afterwards Acura NSX has made a four speed automatic transmission system which is available in NSX 3.0 liter engine model with reducing output V6 (252hp).

In 1997 Acura's manual equipped model was manufactured which features a new six speed transmission and a larger 3.2 liter engine generating 290 hp as per the automatic transmission system in 3.0 liter V6.
