NSX Base Engine:

The Acura NSX has two different powertrains mounted in the middle of ship. The first one is light weighted having all-aluminum 3.2-liter, close ratio transmission generating 290 horsepower and torque pf 224 lb-ft, DOHC, 24 valve, 90 degree V-6 engine coupled with 6-speed.

The second powertrain has 3.0 liter DOHC, 24-valve V-6 engine with 4-speed Sequential Sportshift automatic transmission which produces 252 horsepower and 210 lb.-ft of torque. Both the engines have a Variable Valve Timing and Lift electronic Control System (VTEC).

In addition to these innovative power trains the Acura NSX chassis features 40 percent lighter all aluminum and rigid unit body construction. The 4 wheel independent double wishbone suspension system has hub carriers and aluminum alloy control arms which helps to minimize unsprung weight and provides optimum handling.

For the front suspension and rear suspension the suspension features subframes of aluminum to further reduce weight. The wheels are made up of forged aluminum alloy and reduce unsprung weight. The maximum traction and handling is provided because of the use of super high performance tires 215/40 R17 on the front side and 255/40 R17 on the rear side.
