Acura CSX Engine

CSX Base Engine:

CSX is Acura's exclusive market product built in Canada. Acura CSX combines both performance and handling and is the product designed to exceed driver's expectations. Under the hood section there is large enough space for the engine.

Acura CSX has 2.0-liter DOHC i-VTEC engine producing 155 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 139 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm. It is a four cylinder, dual overhead camshaft engine that uses intelligent variable valve timing and help to increase torque of engine and horsepower throughout the engine's operating range.

Although the torque band is appended in the midrange using resonator chamber attached to the intake manifold, the torque values of CSX are same as CSX. Other features of engine are its new camshafts and dual counter rotating balance shafts.

It is a high revving engine, still people appreciate that regular grade gasoline is the recommended fuel. The estimated fuel economy is 9.5/6.5 L/100km city/highway for the automatic transmission and 8.7/6.4 L/100km city/highway for the manual transmission.

CSX Type-S, a new model of Acura CSX has 2.0-liter, four cylinder engine which produces 192 horsepower, has intelligent valve control system (i-VTEC) for superior economy and optimum engine performance. It is matched to a close ratio 6-speed manual gearbox. The 2007 CSX Type-S was started to sell from 11th june 2006 with MSRP of $33,400 for Canadian.
